The Coach

Coaching Philosophy: Run for your life

You can read here about my coaching background, experience and qualifications, but what is most important to grasp is my coaching philosophy.

As a coach of the Track Taipans, I aim to accomplish something most other athletics coaches don't even attempt, which is to try and help as many people as I can (across all track and field disciplines) with my time on the planet.

I have at times coached well over 80 athletes concurrently, across all disciplines between 100m & 5,000m, with equal attention attempted to be given to all athletes regardless of ability.

My focus is on improving athlete movement, efficiency, health and enjoyment. Improvements in performance are by-products of this.

My focus is on trying to keep people (of all ages) engaged in sport and living a healthy lifestyle.

If you can move better, you will run better and feel better..

If your athletic focus is strictly performance based, I may not be the coach for you, as I do not prioritise talent or ability over effort and disipline.

We are all capable of more than any of us realise. Some people just need someone to believe in them...

I am happy to be that person.
